Thanks. This is one of my favorite buildings. It’s quite close to where I live, and I often walk past it when walking the dogs, etc. I have a fantasy of living in such a place some time, but it’s unlikely to happen in reality.
Since you think that it is unlikely for you to live “in such a place” (a more general expression than “my favorite building”, distancing yourself even after the shot) some time, then this explains why you chose to shoot the barriers to this building (tree and sign) rather than the building itself, so as to have a glimple to a not promised land. Nice shot.
Then there are leaves encroaching from above. The tree grows, the paint peels, and the sign no longer guides. As time passes, the not promised land disappears, even from memory.
I’ve enjoyed these last few days a lot—the night and auto shots are outstanding—but this one is absolutely stunning in every way.
Looks like a good setting for (yet another) remake of "Psycho."

Anamesa, thanks. That’s a very astute reading.
