She has been beheaded, maybe, she’s bleading. The blood is gathering on the floor behind the pane, under her feet. The guy on the throne, a judge or a vampyre? She’s a beheaded goddess in the entrance of a temple, just there to be shown. There is a man with red suit, taking two dogs for a walk, like a guard. From there opens up the road to a “modernized” aspect of the world, as can be seen in the white buildings reflected behind the guard. On the right column a sign with “vers” written on it, “vers”, towards, but maybe also verse. This is not (only) surreal, but has something of a church icon inside it, or maybe of an amalgam between an icon and a renaissance painting ala Carpaccio. You keep on surprising me. I knew something was the matter with this, when I saw it the first time, but could never imagine what.
Has there been any kind of post processing of the original image?
And it’s as if she’s holding a sword, while another one is like hanging by her side. Interesting, a beheaded with a sword. Don’t wish to go further for now.
This is no more processed than usual. Quite a straight shot, really. When I stumbled on this scene, I thought it had potential, but lacked something important. Then I noticed the reflection of the person walking the dogs. I framed the shot, and waited until they walked into the right spot, and then released the shutter.
I like the idea of “releasing” the shutter, rather than just “pressing” it.
wow, what’s up with the guy on the throne?
Nice.
